A Cultural Evening to Support Anandshala’s Joyful Learnings and Life Skills for Underprivileged Children
Samarpan: Inaugural Edition marks the beginning of a heartfelt journey where art meets purpose.
Presented by Deshkal Society, this charity event brings together the grace of classical Odissi dance and the power of collective compassion to support Anandshala, our initiative for quality education and joyful learning.
Experience the soul-stirring performance of Kavita Dwibedi, whose captivating artistry celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage while channelling this beauty into a cause that transforms young lives.

Kavita Dwibedi will present ‘Shweta Mukti,’ a powerful and moving depiction of the Buddha’s life journey. The performance is an evocative exploration of compassion and womanhood, tracing the self-realization paths of three women touched by the light of enlightenment. Through their stories, the piece reflects how the Buddha—the eternal torchbearer of liberation—was nurtured, loved, and inspired by these remarkable women.
Kavita Dwibedi is one of India’s leading Odissi dancers and a recipient of the prestigious Odisha State Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. Trained under her father and guru, the late Shri Hare Krishna Behera, she has performed in over 40 countries and before dignitaries including President Droupadi Murmu. As the Founder of Sanchari Foundation, she is celebrated for her evocative abhinaya, innovative choreography, and vital contributions to globalizing the Odissi dance tradition.
Samarpan directly supports Deshkal Society’s Anandshala initiative, which provides quality education and joyful learning experiences to over 500 school-going children and adolescents from underprivileged backgrounds in Noida’s Shramik Colonies, with a special focus on adolescent girls.
Most of these children come from families of daily wage earners, the invisible backbone of our cities. Anandshala offers them:
By also engaging mothers and caregivers, we build stronger learning ecosystems. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and New Education Policy 2020, Anandshala empowers these first-generation learners to stay in school and dream beyond mere survival.
All proceeds from Samarpan will directly support Anandshala’s ongoing programs, enabling children from less privileged backgrounds to access education, life skills, and opportunities to achieve their full potential.
This charity evening is more than a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of empathy, learning, and shared purpose.
blending the universal language of art with the spirit of giving

ensuring every child has the chance to dream big & achieve their potential
